Understanding Feminine Energy: A Necessary Perspective

leia em português aqui

In a world where we are bombarded with ideas and expectations about what it means to be a woman, it is crucial to understand deeply what being a woman truly entails—not only in terms of biology but also in relation to our spirit and feminine energy. With this understanding, we can make decisions and set boundaries in our relationships that benefit us and enhance our well-being, allowing us to share our love with the world without feeling exhausted. This awareness helps us respect ourselves and our bodies. When we fail to honor our purpose and the essence of our feminine identity, it can lead to physical ailments, particularly affecting our reproductive systems and breasts.

That’s why I’m creating this post—to foster a conversation and increase awareness about femininity from various perspectives, including biological, spiritual, and conceptual aspects of being a woman. I am passionate about this topic because, without this knowledge, it’s easy to be manipulated and influenced into becoming someone we don’t truly want to be.

Understanding your own function, recognizing what makes your body feel good, and knowing which hormones support your well-being are essential. It’s important to learn what behaviors promote healthy hormone production and which ones can lead to stress. With this knowledge, you can make more informed decisions. Knowledge empowers us, and I hope that by the end of this post, you will have valuable tools for your growth as a woman, enabling you to take steps toward manifesting your dreams and leading a more enjoyable, fulfilling life.

Biological Perspective

Let’s begin from a biological perspective, as it’s the easiest to understand. The female body is delicate compared to the male body; it has narrower structures, more curves, and typically more body fat. These characteristics exist for a reason, rooted in our hormonal production and reproductive functions. Even if you don’t wish to be a mother, you will still experience the same reproductive aspects as someone who does.

Additionally, women tend to have more delicate bones and muscles that do not develop in the same way as men’s. We possess breasts, which play a nurturing role. These physical attributes are mirrored in the spiritual realm—just as our internal world reflects our external reality, our external characteristics also reflect our internal selves. This nurturing quality is inherent in women, regardless of whether we choose to fulfill that role in traditional ways.

I want to make it clear that the points I’m discussing are based on biological facts.

I know that you are not obligated to do anything; you are free to choose whether or not to follow my suggestions or to live a lifestyle that aligns with them. It’s important for you to understand that you are a woman, and with that comes certain characteristics and capabilities that you can use to your advantage or not. However, having this knowledge is essential.

Women have delicate bodies with curves, which makes them more fragile in some ways. For example, men possess an organ that extends outward, while women have an organ that is internal and relaxes. Additionally, when we consider the spiritual aspect, we can better understand why these differences are significant.

Hormonal Cycles

In terms of hormonal cycles, a man’s hormonal cycle is daily; each day, after sleeping, he wakes up with a surge of testosterone, which is then consumed throughout the day. This cycle repeats daily. In contrast, a woman’s hormonal cycle lasts approximately 28 days. Women experience menstruation, ovulation, and pregnancy—functions that occur within the female body, not the male body. All of this impacts a woman’s internal functioning.

Women primarily work with estrogen and progesterone, while men rely on testosterone. Although women have testosterone, it is in much smaller amounts compared to men. These hormones serve specific functions, and depending on our behaviors, decisions, and levels of physical and mental effort, they can become unbalanced. This can happen to men as well.

For instance, a woman who experiences prolonged mental and physical stress may produce excess testosterone due to cortisol, the stress hormone. This imbalance can lead to health problems, including issues with reproductive organs like polycystic ovary syndrome. Similarly, a man who doesn’t face sufficient challenges may not produce enough testosterone, which can lead to feelings of depression and a lack of enthusiasm for life.

Understanding how these hormones function is crucial for both women and men. For women, due to our 28-day cycle, it’s beneficial to explore each phase in detail. There are four main archetypes, and each phase requires different understandings of reality. For example, during certain phases, women may need to rest more and be more introspective.

Men, too, can optimize their decision-making based on their hormonal cycles. By understanding that testosterone influences their capabilities, men can schedule important mental work for times when their testosterone levels are highest, allowing them to make better decisions and handle heavier tasks efficiently.

In the evening, however, they may feel tired and lack the energy needed to make assertive decisions. Women, too, have times in their cycle when they are more creative and kind, as well as times when they feel exhausted from the emotional and hormonal fluctuations they experience throughout their cycle. Understanding these differences is extremely important. If you’d like, we can explore each phase of the cycle in more detail later.

Spiritual Aspect

Now, let’s talk about the spiritual aspect. While it may seem abstract, the spiritual world closely parallels the physical world. On Earth, we experience duality—light and dark, good and bad, masculine and feminine. In the energetic realm, we also have feminine and masculine energies.

Feminine energy is related to the feminine body, which is receptive and nurturing. In contrast, masculine energy is expansive, penetrating, and outwardly directed. Just as male reproductive functions direct energy outward, masculine energy moves outward into the world, while feminine energy turns inward, focusing on introspection.

Recognizing these physical differences helps us understand our spiritual, mental and psychological roles. If a woman lacks time for introspection, prayer, visualization, or meditation, she may neglect to honor her feminine energy. It’s vital to understand that every individual possesses both masculine and feminine energies. Women typically have more feminine energy, while men have more masculine energy. However, some women may possess more masculine energy than many men, which can lead to health issues like polycystic ovaries or fibroids. These women might feel pressured to meet societal expectations, often leading to exhaustion.

Similarly, there are men who embody feminine energy, which may cause them to adopt a more receptive role—sometimes towards their partners or family members. This can leave them feeling powerless, fragile, or vulnerable, as they may not engage in producing or providing for the world. Protecting and providing are traditionally male functions, rooted in biology.

When I say these are functions, I’m not implying that everyone must conform to these roles. However, it’s clear that men are biologically designed to be protectors. While individuals can choose to act against their nature, I personally prefer to align with it, as it reflects the natural flow of life. From a spiritual perspective, embracing these roles can lead to a more fulfilling existence.

Feminine energy is more introspective and receptive; it is chaotic and cyclical, reflecting the monthly 28-day cycle and associated hormonal fluctuations. In contrast, masculine energy is more stable, rational, and assertive. If we think of a man as an arrow, feminine energy can be likened to a vessel that receives and transforms input. From a spiritual perspective, a woman takes in ideas and begins to create, much like a cauldron that absorbs elements from society and her life experiences. This cauldron allows her to produce not only biological outcomes, like children, but also creative ideas, projects, and artistic expressions.

Men, on the other hand, tend to be more directive, planting seeds and putting ideas directly into the world. This distinction illustrates that feminine energy is more introspective and connected to relaxation and self-care, while masculine energy focuses on effort, direction, and action. Understanding these differences is essential for grasping the upcoming points.

Astrological Perspective

Now, let’s discuss society. As of 2024, we still live in a capitalist society focused on production. From an astrological perspective, we have been experiencing a significant transformation in Capricorn, a sign associated with matter and masculinity. This has created an era where women have been conditioned to behave like men, particularly in professional and productive settings. Competitiveness is typically a masculine trait, while women are generally more cooperative. However, women have been led to believe they must compete with men, which is not aligned with their feminine energy and is detrimental to their well-being.

For men, competition can foster growth and help them become their best selves, but for women, it can be harmful. Women thrive through cooperative activities and relationships, which can include collaboration with men. Unfortunately, the job market and societal structures have been built around the idea of excessive productivity, neglecting the natural cycles women experience and the time they need to rest.

This society was created primarily for men, and the notion that women must behave like men to be equal only comes at a high cost. Women may suffer from physical and mental health issues due to the stress of trying to keep up with these demands. Moreover, when women work as men do, they often feel less inclined to have children. If they choose to have children, they face the added pressure of meeting the same expectations placed on men, which is unrealistic.

While women deserve equal civil rights and responsibilities, it is important to recognize the biological and functional differences between men and women. This recognition is crucial for creating a society that supports the well-being of both genders.

The idea of overproduction and excessive productivity is not aligned with the feminine cycle or feminine energy. When a woman subjects herself to this way of living, she risks harming herself, disrespecting her energy, and dishonoring her femininity. Understanding this allows us to make better decisions for ourselves as women.

A Bible Perspective

In the Bible, the first mention of women occurs in Genesis 2:18, where God refers to a woman as a “suitable helper.” Some may interpret this as diminishing or secondary, but in Hebrew, the term used is “ezer kenegdo.” This term carries a strong meaning: it refers to someone who strengthens another in ways they cannot do for themselves. In various passages of the Hebrew Bible, this same word, “ezer,” is used to describe God. Thus, the way women bring value to the world and serve their communities is distinct from how men do so. It’s crucial for women to understand this to make informed and assertive decisions about how they serve, ensuring it does not come at the cost of their physical or mental health.

Women have a rich internal world that deserves attention. Engaging with this inner world through writing, meditation, and prayer can foster a deeper connection with God. This relationship is often intimate and profound. If you, as a woman, do not regularly connect with God, the universe, or whatever term you use for this higher power, you may be neglecting a vital aspect of your feminine energy.

Another significant characteristic of femininity is trust—trust in God, trust in others, and trust in one’s intuition. In contrast, men, built to protect, often approach the world with suspicion and caution, always on the lookout for potential dangers. Women, however, need to cultivate a deeper sense of trust, rooted in their connection with the divine and their spirituality.

Importance of personal freedom

I hope this clarifies the functions of feminine and masculine energy. Please don’t view this as an imposition; I genuinely believe in the importance of personal freedom. With that freedom comes the responsibility to make choices that lead to a fulfilling and healthy life.

From my experience with clients, I have seen how a lack of understanding and disrespect for feminine energy can lead to serious health issues. If this knowledge were more widely shared among women, many might avoid the ailments they currently face. I encourage you to share this information with other women, so they can also benefit and embrace their freedom to define their own paths.
